The Vietnam 200 Dong banknote is part of the 1987 issues. It is brown, orange, and light blue in color and measures 129 x 65 mm. The obverse side shows the coat of arms and Ho Chi Minh. The reverse side features workers in the field with a tractor. This banknote has no security thread and contains a watermark with a flower pattern design.

VIETNAM 1000 Dong, 1988, P-106, UNC World Currency

The Vietnam 1,000 Dong Banknote from 1988 featured a portrait of Ho Chi Minh. The coat of arms of Vietnam and the former Prime Minister is printed on the front design. At the back is a mahout riding an elephant dragging a felled tree in the forest. The banknote is 135 x 65 mm in size and does not contain any security threads but a watermark Flower pattern.

VIETNAM 500 Dong, 1988, P-101, UNC World Currency

This uncirculated 500 Vietnamese dong banknote was introduced by the State Bank of Vietnam in 1988. The reddish-brown, blue, purple, and tan note was withdrawn from circulation in 2003. Its obverse side shows the coat of arms of Vietnam and the portrait of Ho Chi Minh, the former president of Vietnam. Its reverse side depicts cranes, trucks, and ships at the dock in Hai Phong Port. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a flower pattern watermark. The note is 130 mm long and 65 mm wide.
