South Vietnam 500 Dong 1972 "Tiger Note" — P-33a. Iconic South Vietnam banknote issued by the Ngan-Hang Quoc-Gia Viet-Nam (National Bank of Vietnam) in 1972, featuring the famous Bengal Tiger on the reverse and the Independence Palace (Dinh Doc-Lap) on the front.
The banknote is 152 x 65 mm in size and does not contain any security threads however when placed under a UV light or if held against the light, a shadow image of Ho Chi Minh is visible. The obverse side features the coat of arms of Vietnam printed beside Ho Chi Minh.
