(AM-1) South Vietnam 200 dong 1958 Banknote

This is a 200 Đồng banknote from South Vietnam (Republic of Vietnam / Việt Nam Cộng Hòa), issued ND (1958) by the Ngân-Hàng Quốc-Gia Việt-Nam (National Bank of Vietnam).  Key Details: • Front (Obverse): Features the National Bank headquarters building in Saigon on the right, the “Việt Nam Cộng Hòa” state emblem (bamboo) on the left, and red serial number WA796872. Text includes “HAI TRĂM ĐỒNG” (Two Hundred Đồng). • Back (Reverse): Shows a scenic harbor with traditional Vietnamese fishing boats (junks/sampans) and sails. • Design: Purple/brown tones with ornate borders. It’s part of the second issue series from the late 1950s.
